Collection of the Czech Museum of Silver
The collection of the Czech Museum of Silver in Kutná Hora has resulted from the effort of several generations of museum workers. The beginnings may be traced back to 1877, when Vocel Archaeological Society - one of the oldest Czech museum societies - was formed. Thanks to the continuous collecting efforts of Vocel Society and its post-war successors, the Czech Museum of Silver (hereinafter referred to as „the CMS“) currently administers one of the largest museum collections in the Czech Republic.
The collection was registered in the Central Collection Evidence on June 7, 2002 under the identification number MKU/002-04-29/103002.
Since January 1, 2003 the Collection of the Czech Musum of Silver has been in the possession of the Central Bohemia Region.
